Our Very Own Olympic Torch Bearer!
Our very own member Tina Wood, a piper with the Kirkwall City Pipe Band, was the first person in Scotland to be chosen to carry the London 2012 Olympic Torch, through the Bank of Scotland Nominations process. She was nominated by her sister Dawn Stout, also a piper with the band, for the positive difference she has made to her community. Dawn said that“Tina is very kind hearted and enthusiastic who is extremely dedicated to the many organisations which she belongs”.
